Creation in 6 days.

Back on December 31, 2014 I posted a video about the earth being in the center of the universe. Someone posted a comment that got me thinking about creation and if what I believed was true.  Before I go further, I will let you see what he said.

I agree. The only thing I would have a problem with is when people start claiming that according to the Bible, the absolute very beginning of everything was around 6,000 years ago, because the Bible doesn't say anything like that, but those of us who don't read what's written & in turn totally misunderstand what the written Word of God says, will try to fit it to our understanding, and put God in a box. The beginning of mankind's history, and the universe as God made it for us was around 6,000 years ago. That's not the creation as defined in Gen. 1:1; but the re-creation of an Earth that became without form and void, with darkness upon the face of the deep, (meaning space, not Earth's oceans) as we are told in Gen. 1:2; Then, in Gen. 1:3; God began to re-create our universe, but this time He did it differently. This time He included mankind, who He made in His own image as we are told in Gen. 1:26-28; I have an in depth study on this matter in my Facebook notes in an artical entitled, REPLENISH THE EARTH

I studied what scripture said and looked at the original Hebrew and what each word meant.  Just like in our language, Hebrew words can mean several different things.  For example:  leaves can mean leaves of trees, a layer such as layers of pages in a book, and to depart or quit.  This has caused problems at times in interpreting what is said in Genesis, but I think the truth can be found with a little knowledge and common sense.

One of the words that has caused problems is the word "Day".  It can mean a simple 24 hr day, but it can also be a long period of time such as we would say, "In the day of Biblical times...." meaning at the times of the Bible.  Therefore some people say (as is in 2 Peter 3:8)  a day is as a thousand years unto the lord.  Some say it could be even millions of years. But the Bible is really pretty clear that it is a normal 24 hour day.

1. The first day, God created the light and the darkness and at the end of each creation day it says, "And the evening and the morning were the (first, second, ect) day."
2. On day three God created plants, on day four God created the sun. Did plants live for a thousand or even a million years without the sunlight?
3. On the seventh day God rested.  Did God rest for a thousand or millions of years?  Is He still resting and letting us go without Him?

A day can simply be a day.  It is the same word used through out the old testament for a simple 24 hour day.  My God is big enough to create the universe in 6 days.

The gap theory says there is a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.  Everything was create in verse one and after billions of years verse 2 takes place.  At the time of verse 2 there is destruction from a Heavenly war and so God has to replenish the earth, meaning redo it.

1. Verse 2 says. "And the earth was without form and void;..."  The word "and" is a conjunction used to refer back to verse one. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."  Verse 2 is going back to describe what the earth, which verse one speaks of, is like.
2. The word "replenish" in verse 28, does not mean the same thing as it did in King James time.  Back then it meant "containing as much or as many as is possible or normal" The Hebrew means to fill, to make full.

Perhaps God created all the universe with a big bang and billions of years later he created our solar system in 6 days?  On the fourth day God says He created the stars.

What about God creating man by evolution?  That would mean that since death came into the world when man sinned, that for millions of years nothing died.  Insects, plants, dinosaurs, and every living thing since the beginning of evolution was still alive until Adam and Eve ate that cursed fruit.

Once i found out these things, I had a choice.  I could accept that man is right and God lied, or I could accept that God is right and man is at best mistaken.  Genesis really leaves no other choices.  How can the very first chapter of God's word be true if evolution is true?

The verse that really convinced me from the moment I read it was verse 16.  On that day God created everything outside of the earth.  I can either believe that on the fourth day God created the stars, the sun and the moon, or I can call God a liar.

I stand on scripture.  You can call me foolish to believe that God created everything in six 24 hour days, but I would rather be a fool trusting God than a wise man trusting man.
