Do NOT Divide Jerusalem

President Trump made Israel very happy when he announced that the United States Embassy was being moved to Jerusalem.  I think he did that so that Israel would feel more obligated to agree to the Middle East Peace Agreement that he will be proposing.  A peace plan that will divide Jerusalem and give East Jerusalem as a capital to the Palestinians.  The United States would then put an embassy to the Palestinians there as well.

I like Trump but, IF this is his plan, I would fight it with all my strength.  To divide Israel, especially Jerusalem, is a sure way to God's wrath.  Trump does not know what a huge mistake that such an action would be.

Israel is not just another country and the land is not just a plot of dirt.  God has claimed that land for Himself.  It is God's land which He has given as an everlasting inheritance to His people Israel.

"I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.  There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land."  Joel 3:2

God established an everlasting covenant between Himself and Abraham and Abraham's descendants.  The covenant included all of what Israel owns now and a much larger area which God will see to it that they receive in the future.

If Trump or anyone else tries to divide up Jerusalem they will anger God.  Since Trump represents the United States that means that His wrath will come down on those of us who live here.  This is not a political situation, but a spiritual one.  To give even an inch of Israel away is to go against God.

"The LORD built Jerusalem on the holy mountain.  He loves its gates more than any other place in Israel.  City of God, wonderful things are said about you."  Psalm 87: 1-3
